Botox
Have your youthful facial expressions turned into wrinkles? BOTOX cosmetic may be the answer. BOTOX is the most common non-surgical rejuvenatory procedure. It can help prevent wrinkles from forming if used early in the aging process. BOTOX is an injectable medication that reduces or prevents movement of the muscles that cause facial wrinkling due to repetitive movement. By relaxing these muscles, patients can achieve a more youthful appearance. Although BOTOX is not permanent, it lasts an average of 3-6 months. The length of time varies for each individual. BOTOX is primarily used in the upper third of the face. Forehead lines, frown lines (between the eyebrows), and lines around the eyes (crow’s feet), respond favorably to BOTOX. In our office, only physicians and the advanced practice physician assistant perform BOTOX.

Dermal Fillers
If the lines around your face are making you feel and look older than you really are, then a dermal filler may be a good choice for you. As we age, skin’s natural collagen decreases, causing lines and wrinkles around the mouth, lips, and chin. Fillers are non-surgical procedures that can help correct these wrinkles. In addition, fillers can help reduce or eliminate scarring from acne and injuries that have left a depressed area.
In our office, only the physicians and the advanced practice physician assistant perform dermal fillers. The options include, Restylane®, Radiesse®, Juvéderm®, and your own fat. Autologous fat can be injected into areas such as the hands to provide volume and allow for a more permanent option.

Most fillers are non-animal-based and fully biocompatible; allergy testing is not required.
